Over 300 Users, Families, and Local Residents Gather for a Time of Appreciation
Mokpo Disabled Persons Comprehensive Welfare Center held a year-end appreciation event for its users.
The Mokpo Disabled Persons Comprehensive Welfare Center successfully held the "2025 Year-End Appreciation Event" on December 19 in the auditorium on the second floor of the center.
Under the catchphrase "You Are the Main Characters Who Were With Us This Year," the event was organized to express gratitude to users, their families, and local residents who have been with the center throughout the year. Over 300 people, including users, their families, and local residents, attended and shared the warmth of the season.
The event featured a variety of year-end programs, including tarot card experiences, popcorn sharing, a pre-event performance, a commemorative ceremony, awards for distinguished contributors and plaques of appreciation, a prize drawing, and an exhibition of works. Laughter and applause filled the venue throughout the event.
The tarot card experience program, in particular, received a great response as it provided users with an opportunity to share their hopes and wishes for the new year. The exhibition, set up in one corner of the venue, displayed paintings, crafts, and photographs created by the users, drawing the attention of attendees. The popcorn sharing booth was a space where people of all ages could enjoy themselves freely.
This year’s event was made even more special thanks to the support of K2 Mokpo Hadang Branch and the Magnolia Rotary Club, adding to the spirit of year-end sharing.
One participant commented, "Looking back on the past year together at the year-end event made me feel reassured, thinking 'I spent this year well.' I hope to make even more memories at the center next year."
Director Jang Eunchae said, "I sincerely thank all the users, their families, sponsors, and volunteers who have been with the center this year. You are truly the main characters of today’s event."
She added, "Next year, we will strive to become an even better welfare center, taking another step forward so that the daily lives of all our center’s family members can be warmer and happier."
