Bridging the Design Information Gap... Kyungnam College of Information & Technology Concludes 6th Creative Convergence Forum

Kyungnam College of Information & Technology held the 6th CCF (Creative Convergence Forum) at the Centum Campus Convention Hall in Haeundae on December 20.

This year's forum was themed "Asking the Way Forward Through AI," and featured designers leading the domestic and international design industries as speakers, delivering special lectures and participating in discussions. Marking its sixth edition this year, the event was held onsite in a 300-seat venue and broadcast live online. The forum drew significant attention, attracting many participants from across the country.

The forum consisted of five sessions: △ "How Generative AI Redefines the Design Ecosystem" by Director Lee Donghwan of PLUSX, △ "How GEN AI Expands the Possibilities of Practical Design" by Team Leader Kim Minchang of BKID, △ "AI Video Is Not Just an Image, but the Language of Emotion" by Apple Art Director Jeff Han, △ "The Role of Designers in the Age of AI" by Senior Professional Ko Seongchan of Samsung Electronics, and △ "Graphic and Branding Design in the AI-Based Creative Era" by CEO Kim Chulhui of VBSTUDIO.

The event was so engaging that the Q&A sessions with both onsite and online participants extended beyond the scheduled time, highlighting the high level of interest in the future of AI and design.

Choi Dongcheol, Professor of the Department of AI Visual Design and organizer of the event, emphasized, "Kyungnam College of Information & Technology's CCF has invited speakers who are rarely gathered in one place, inspiring students and citizens alike with creativity, imagination, and a spirit of challenge."

President Kim Taesang stated, "Kyungnam College of Information & Technology is a design-specialized university that established the first design department in the Busan area in 1972," adding, "Through CCF, we will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as an educational institution that provides the joy of learning to both students and citizens."

CCF is recognized as a leading example of the "Junior College Innovation Support Project," through which Kyungnam College of Information & Technology has invited domestic and international design experts since 2020, stimulating students' creativity and helping to bridge the information gap for citizens.
