Strengthening Headquarters’ Strategic Functions and Establishing a Framework for Mid- to Long-Term Growth
Performance-Based Appointments at Russian and Vietnamese Subsidiaries
Dam Seowon, the third-generation owner of Orion, has been promoted to Executive Vice President just one year after being promoted to Senior Executive Director in last year’s regular executive appointments.
Orion Group announced on December 22, 2025, that it has established a new strategic division at its headquarters and carried out performance-based promotions centered on key overseas subsidiaries through its 2026 regular executive appointments.
The core of this round of appointments is the establishment of the Strategic Management Division within the Korean corporation and the promotion of Dam Seowon to Executive Vice President. As the head of the Strategic Management Division, Executive Vice President Dam will oversee the group’s mid- to long-term management strategies, business diagnostics, and future business development.
The Strategic Management Division will include the New Business Team, Overseas Business Team, Management Support Team, and CSR Team, and will be responsible for strategic functions at the group level. Orion plans to systematically manage its global business and new ventures by establishing a strategic control tower at its headquarters.
Executive Vice President Dam joined Orion in July 2021 and has been responsible for key management tasks such as business strategy, support for global operations, and system improvements. In the bio new business sector, Dam also serves as an in-house director at the affiliate company Rigachem Bio. This promotion is seen as an effort to strengthen the foundation for future growth by placing strategy and planning-oriented leaders at the forefront.

Performance-based appointments were also made at overseas subsidiaries. At the Russian subsidiary, Park Jongyul was promoted to Executive Vice President. Park, who joined Orion in 1994, has served as the manager of the Iksan plant and as head of production at the Russian subsidiary, and has been CEO of the Russian subsidiary since 2020. He was recognized for successfully completing the construction of the new Tver plant and expanding the product lineup to include pies, jellies, and biscuits.
At the Vietnamese subsidiary, Yeo Seongil, who had been Head of the Support Division, was promoted to Senior Executive Director and newly appointed as CEO. Since joining Orion in 2018, Yeo has led the Vietnamese Support Division for five years, strengthening localization and driving business growth.
