The launch ceremony was attended by Jinwoo, President of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, as well as government officials, religious leaders, and meditation experts. The event opened with "Time for Meditation," which was accompanied by music meditation. In his commemorative address, Jinwoo expressed his hope that meditation would bring hope to individuals' hearts and that Korea would become a leader in spiritual culture, contributing to world peace. The ceremony also featured video congratulatory messages from renowned global meditation leaders and celebratory performances.

During the event, student representatives participated in the "Resonance of Peace" segment, delivering a message that future generations should understand one another and achieve peace through meditation. Leaders from various religions and ideologies also joined together to read a declaration, expressing their wish for peace with "one heart."

The subsequent "K-Meditation Korea Meditation Conference" featured presentations and discussions on topics such as scientific research achievements in meditation, educational trends, and challenges facing Korean meditation. Participants also explored ways to modernize and globalize traditional Korean meditation practices.

Going forward, the Korea Committee plans to promote the popularization and integration of meditation into daily life through commemorative events and forums for World Meditation Day. The committee also aims to expand the global reach of K-Meditation, including co-hosting events at the United Nations headquarters.
