According to the county on December 22, the Youth House, which serves as a residential employment space, was established to ease the housing burden for young people and to support their employment and entrepreneurship. This public lottery was held for 28 applicants who passed the document screening out of a total of 35 applicants.
Among the 28 applicants who passed the document screening, 18 were residents within the county, while 10 were from outside the county.
By age group, teenagers and people in their twenties accounted for the largest proportion at 64%, while those in their thirties made up 36%. The competition ratio by gender was 2.5:1 for men, with 15 male applicants, and 2:1 for women, with 13 female applicants.
As a result of the lottery, a total of 12 final residents were selected-6 men and 6 women. Of these, 8 were young people from within the county and 4 were from outside the county.
The selected residents can sign their contracts starting from the day of the lottery. They must complete the contract process by December 24 and are scheduled to move in from mid-January next year. After moving in, they must complete their resident registration in Hwasun County within 15 days.
Jo Mihwa, Director of Population and Youth Policy, stated, "We hope that the Youth House will provide a stable housing foundation and practical support for young people's employment and entrepreneurship. We will continue to pursue housing and self-reliance support policies that young people can truly benefit from."
