Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) announced on December 19 that it has issued a tender for construction project management services, including acting as the supervisor for the construction of the West Busan Administrative Complex Town.
The construction of the West Busan Administrative Complex Town is a large-scale public architecture project being promoted within the Sasang Regeneration Project District. The facility will serve as a hub for administrative and public institutions in the western Busan area, with the aim of promoting balanced development between the east and west of the city and innovating public administration services.
This facility will be built with five underground floors and 31 above-ground floors. Its main uses will include office space, broadcasting and telecommunications facilities, and neighborhood living facilities. The total construction cost, excluding electrical work, amounts to 325.1 billion won.
The construction project management services announced this time will be carried out through the Public Procurement Service using a Performance Qualification (PQ) and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) evaluation process. The estimated contract value is approximately 18.5 billion won, and the service period will be 46 months after the start of construction. After the submission of PQ documents, the process will proceed through PQ evaluation, SOQ evaluation, and price bidding. The successful bidder will be selected and the contract signed by the end of February.
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "We will ensure that the construction project management contract process for the West Busan Administrative Complex Town proceeds quickly and transparently so that the project can move forward without delay," adding, "We will prioritize quality and safety to complete a new central facility for West Busan."
