The Secret Behind An Seyoung’s Explosive Agility: What Is the “Magic Spray”?

The Secret Behind An Seyoung’s Explosive Agility: What Is the “Magic Spray”?

An Seyoung, the world’s No. 1 women’s singles badminton player (age 23, Samsung Life Insurance), once again conquered the world at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Finals. In a high-stakes match where she took the first set and lost the second, An Seyoung’s explosive agility in the decisive third set was underpinned by a brief yet powerful “recovery routine” captured during the match.

An Seyoung’s appearance on the broadcast was striking. At a moment when muscle fatigue had peaked due to intense rallies, she skillfully sprayed P-LAB’s “Lephilab Meisin Red” on her fatigued muscles outside the court before returning to play. This “topical recovery” method, where the spray is applied directly to the skin for absorption, helped boost An Seyoung’s muscle condition.

The key to the Lephilab spray used by An Seyoung lies in its patented ingredient “Meisin,” developed by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. Meisin is a natural flavonoid extracted from Centipede Grass, known for its outstanding anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, which led this research, is a government-funded institution with top-tier research capabilities in nuclear and bio-convergence technologies, among other fields. The development of Meisin is a result of the institute’s accumulated expertise and highly credible research environment. A scientifically validated ingredient from a nationally certified research institute was applied to products used by national team athletes.

The finals against world No. 2 Wang Zhiyi was essentially a battle of stamina and mental strength. Both players were exhausted by the time they reached the finals, and An Seyoung was seen limping due to pain in her left leg near the end of the match, raising concerns about injury.

An Seyoung’s choice, as captured on the broadcast, was a “spray-on recovery.” She expertly sprayed Lephilab on her fatigued muscles outside the court before returning to play. Lephilab’s method, which provides immediate recovery by being absorbed directly through the skin, gave An Seyoung the final boost she needed. As a result, she defeated Wang Zhiyi in the third set with a score of 21-10.

The effectiveness of Lephilab shone even brighter after her victory was secured. After the match, An Seyoung personally handed the Lephilab spray she had used to Wang Zhiyi, who was still disappointed by her loss. Wang Zhiyi showed great interest by spraying the product on the spot. It was a moment when Lephilab was recognized as an “essential item” that transcends borders among the world’s top athletes.

Lee Sangyoon, CEO of P-LAB, stated, “In the sport of badminton, which demands the most precise physical abilities, Lephilab’s rapid absorption and efficacy have become a constant factor in victory.” With the technical support of P-LAB, the official sponsor of the national team, and An Seyoung’s determination, this championship has firmly established Lephilab as a new icon in sports science.
