[2026 Regular Admissions] Korea Polytechnic University to Select Students for School of Interdisciplinary Studies and More via CSAT Track

A Total of 505 Students to Be Admitted... 350 for General CSAT Track
Different Weightings by Admission Track... Bonus Points for Calculus and Geometry

Korea Polytechnic University will recruit a total of 505 students for the 2026 regular admissions. By admission type, there will be 276 students selected through the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) General Student 1 track, 174 through the CSAT General Student 2 track, and 55 through the CSAT Rural Student track.

Starting from the 2026 academic year, the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and each college’s autonomous major will select students through the CSAT (General Student 1) track. The recruitment group is Group A. For the holistic admissions track (early employment contract departments and specialized high school graduates currently employed), any unfilled positions from the rolling admissions will be carried over to the regular admissions.

The CSAT General Student 1 track is based 100% on the CSAT, utilizing percentile scores and grades (for English). Four CSAT subjects (Korean, Mathematics, English, and one elective subject from Science or Social Studies) are considered. For engineering majors, the weighting is: Korean 25%, Mathematics 35%, English 20%, and one elective subject (Science or Social Studies) 20%. For the School of Business Administration, the weighting is: Korean 30%, Mathematics 30%, English 20%, and one elective subject (Science or Social Studies) 20%.

The CSAT General Student 2 track is also based 100% on the CSAT and follows the same process as the General Student 1 track, but only three CSAT subjects are considered. Mathematics is a mandatory subject, and the other two are the highest scores among Korean, English, and one elective subject (Science or Social Studies).

The weighting for the three subjects is: first priority 45%, second priority 35%, and third priority 20%. This track is advantageous for students who have one subject with a lower score compared to the other two.

If a student’s scores are evenly distributed across all four subjects, it is recommended to apply for the CSAT (General Student 1) track. If one particular subject score is relatively lower, the CSAT (General Student 2) track is preferable. For both tracks, students who take Calculus or Geometry in Mathematics will receive a 10% bonus on their Mathematics percentile score. Applications will be accepted from December 29 at 10:00 AM to December 31 at 6:00 PM.
