According to the city on the 22nd, this initiative is being implemented as part of the "2026 Agricultural Work Safety Accident Prevention Support System Establishment Project" to prevent frequent safety accidents in agricultural settings and to establish a systematic management foundation.

The core of the program is that agricultural work safety management experts will visit each farm in person to assess potential risks and provide free support in establishing a safety and health management system tailored to each farm’s environment.

Selected farms will receive ▲ safety inspections for agricultural machinery and materials ▲ identification of on-site risk factors such as in the workplace and on farm roads ▲ precise measurement of hazardous factors such as noise, vibration, dust, and pesticides ▲ and education on the prevention of heat-related illnesses, musculoskeletal disorders, and infectious diseases.

Additionally, based on the results of the consulting, customized protective equipment will be provided to each farm, ensuring practical safety measures are implemented.

The program will select a total of 110 farms. Any Jeongeup City farmer is eligible to apply; however, priority will be given to those who have experienced accidents in the past or who employ five or more regular or temporary workers.

To apply, visit the administrative welfare center in the township, town, or district where your farmland is located and submit an application form.

The city plans to be assigned two professional safety managers from the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Research and Extension Services in January next year. Starting with a project briefing in February, full-scale consulting will be conducted through September, followed by a post-management phase to meticulously check whether improvements have been implemented, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the project.

Lee Yongkwan, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "If you have ever felt at risk of an accident during agricultural work, frequently experience physical pain while working, or want an accurate assessment of your farm’s current safety level, I encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity."
