NH NongHyup Life Insurance announced on December 22 that the number of subscribers to its "NH Farmers Safety Insurance" has surpassed 1 million.
The NH Farmers Safety Insurance is a product designed to protect farmers and agricultural workers by providing coverage for accidents and illnesses that occur during agricultural work.
Farmers registered as agricultural business entities can receive government support for 50% of the main contract insurance premium. For low-income farmers who are basic livelihood security recipients or belong to the lower-income bracket, support is available for up to 70% of the premium.
NH NongHyup Life Insurance has strengthened promotional activities every year to expand the number of NH Farmers Safety Insurance subscribers and has actively encouraged existing policyholders to renew their contracts upon expiration.
Over the past three years, the company has contributed to the prevention of safety accidents among farmers by holding donation events for agricultural safety supplies targeting farmers in rural areas nationwide.
This year, in particular, the company launched a dedicated product for foreign seasonal workers (E-8 visa holders) working in rural areas to ensure their safety. As a result, more than 20,000 additional people have subscribed compared to the same period last year.
