The Seegene Medical Foundation Gwangju-Honam Testing Center is taking the lead in practicing warm sharing and participating in the spread of a culture of giving in the local community.

The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea announced on December 22 that the Seegene Foundation Honam Center recently held a plaque awarding ceremony for joining the 'Good Workplace' program within the center and pledged monthly regular donations together with its members.

'Good Workplace' is a representative workplace regular donation program promoted by Gwangju Community Chest of Korea. It is a participatory donation model in which five or more members of a company or institution each donate at least 5,000 KRW per month to support underprivileged groups in the region.

The Seegene Foundation Gwangju-Honam Testing Center’s participation in the Good Workplace program is significant in that a local medical institution is setting an example of sharing and fulfilling its social responsibility.

In particular, as employees voluntarily participate and make steady monthly donations, this is expected to serve as a starting point for spreading positive influence throughout the local community.

The plaque awarding ceremony was attended by Chief Director Park Changsoo, center executives and staff, and officials from the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.

The funds raised through regular donations will be prioritized to support low-income families, elderly people living alone, and welfare projects for children and youth in the Gwangju area.

Chief Director Park Changsoo stated, "It is more important to consistently be with the community than to focus on how much we donate," adding, "As a medical institution, we decided to participate in the Good Workplace program to fulfill our responsible role for the local community and our neighbors."
