Swift Execution Through a Dedicated Task Force
Dobong District in Seoul (District Mayor Oh Unseok) announced on December 22 that it has been selected as an outstanding local government in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s “Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon” program, and will receive a special grant of 150 million won.
This evaluation was conducted for 243 local governments nationwide, comprehensively assessing the performance of consumption coupon distribution, the results of coupon usage and expansion of usage locations, as well as improvements in the convenience of application and distribution processes.
The district achieved a high execution rate of 98.4% for both the first and second rounds of consumption coupon distribution. It is evaluated that Dobong District’s selection as an outstanding institution among the 243 local governments nationwide was due to systematic management and execution by a dedicated team.
To ensure the smooth implementation of the consumption coupon program, the district formed a dedicated organization led by the Deputy District Mayor to oversee and manage the entire process. A dedicated reception desk was operated to swiftly handle applications and registrations, and both online and offline promotional activities were carried out to encourage coupon usage. The active operation of a dedicated call center to address residents’ inquiries and appeals also contributed to the high distribution rate.
Oh Unseok, Mayor of Dobong District, stated, “This achievement was made possible through close cooperation between each department and local community centers during the application and distribution process for the consumption coupons,” adding, “With this recognition, we will continue to provide even more attentive and prompt support for the recovery of livelihoods for local small business owners and residents.”
