Ex-husband Was Married During Their Relationship
Hid Divorce and Married Her... Also Had a Mistress
Anchor Kim Juha has, for the first time, revealed the lies, violence, and reasons behind her divorce from her ex-husband.
On the December 20 broadcast of MBN's "Kim Juha's Day and Night," Kim Juha detailed the entire process from meeting her ex-husband to their separation. On this episode, psychiatrist Oh Eunyoung, who has been Kim Juha's friend for 20 years, appeared as a guest.

Kim Juha said, "There have been too many speculative articles, so I decided to share my personal story today," adding, "I invited Dr. Oh, who knows me better than I know myself." Oh Eunyoung commented, "I'm here as a sister. Having closely watched Kim Juha's journey, including her wounds and how she overcame them, I thought it would be meaningful if I could ask her questions. That's why I was involved with the planning of this program from the start."
The two then switched seats, with Kim Juha becoming the guest and opening up about her marriage, which was tainted by her ex-husband's lies and infidelity. Kim Juha recalled, "I used to be against marriage, but I thought if someone cherished me this much, I could be with him." However, her married life turned out differently than she expected. She said, "During my marriage, I felt like my ex-husband and mother-in-law shared some secret between them. But I thought it was polite not to pry into things the other person didn't want to talk about, which turned out to be a mistake."
Kim Juha continued, "After having a child and moving to a new place, I was organizing things and found something in my mother-in-law's closet. There were two low boxes, and inside were dozens of documents." She added, "Besides the marriage certificate my ex-husband had shown me, there were two other documents underneath. One was a certificate proving he got married while still divorced in the United States, and the other was a forged document created to produce the marriage certificate he had shown me." This revelation caused shock.
Kim Juha further revealed, "There was yet another document below that, stating he had divorced just one month before marrying me. This means he was still married when we were dating." She continued, "When he realized I knew about the fake documents, if he had said, 'I'm sorry, I did it because I loved you so much,' I might have wavered. But instead, he said, 'Are you upset? Then leave.' That was so shocking. My eldest child was not even a year old at the time." She also recalled, "Even before the wedding, two or three seniors told me they thought my ex-husband had a past. My ex-husband cried and tore his clothes, claiming he was being wronged. I remember feeling so sorry for him. It was shocking to learn that someone who got so angry was actually lying."

He Provided a House for His Mistress and Even Took Their Son There
Kim Juha revealed that her ex-husband also committed infidelity. When she received payment notifications from salons and nail shops on her phone, she suspected credit card fraud, but her ex-husband remained nonchalant. It turned out he had provided a house for his mistress right across from their home and even took their son there.
Kim Juha said, "When my husband had nothing to say, he would resort to his fists. My left ear doesn't hear well because my eardrum was ruptured," adding, "I was hit about twice, and once I suffered a traumatic brain hemorrhage from falling. I collapsed an hour before the news broadcast and went to the hospital, where the doctor asked if I wanted to report it." She went on to say that there were other horrifying incidents of violence. Her ex-husband severely assaulted her for not wearing clothes he had bought for her, saying, "Are you disrespecting me?" which led her to the emergency room. Oh Eunyoung recalled, "I remember the situation clearly because I spoke to the emergency room doctor at the time. Her neck was severely strangled."
Kim Juha added, "I could endure the violence against me, but when he assaulted our son, I couldn't take it. While playing hide-and-seek, our child came out late, and my ex-husband grabbed him by the collar and slapped him repeatedly. This happened twice." There were also financial issues. She said, "During our marriage, my entire salary went toward living expenses, and my husband spent all of his own money. When we tried to divide our assets during the divorce, it turned out my husband's total assets were only 320,000 won." To make matters worse, her ex-husband even tried to seize Kim Juha's rental deposit.
Kim Juha married in 2004 and had one son and one daughter, but due to her ex-husband's infidelity and violence, she filed for divorce in 2013. After a lawsuit that lasted two years and seven months, the divorce was finalized in 2016. The Supreme Court ordered Kim Juha to pay her ex-husband 1,021,000,000 won as part of the asset division. During this process, her ex-husband was sentenced to eight months in prison with a two-year suspended sentence for assault charges.
