Ex-husband Was Married During Their Relationship
Hid Divorce and Married Her... Also Had a Mistress
Anchor Kim Juha has, for the first time, revealed the lies, violence, and reasons behind her divorce from her ex-husband.
On the December 20 broadcast of MBN's "Kim Juha's Day and Night," Kim Juha detailed the entire process from meeting her ex-husband to their separation. On this episode, psychiatrist Oh Eunyoung, who has been Kim Juha's friend for 20 years, appeared as a guest.

Kim Juha said, "There have been too many speculative articles, so I decided to share my personal story today," adding, "I invited Dr. Oh, who knows me better than I know myself." Oh Eunyoung commented, "I'm here as a sister," and explained, "As someone who has closely witnessed Kim Juha's pain and her journey to overcome it, she asked if I could be the one to ask her questions, so I have been involved with this program since its planning stage."
The two then switched seats, and Kim Juha became the guest, opening up about her marriage, which was marred by her ex-husband's lies and infidelity. Kim Juha recalled, "I used to be against marriage, but I thought I could be with someone who cherished me so much." However, her married life turned out differently than she expected. She said, "During my marriage, I felt that my ex-husband and my mother-in-law had something between them. But I thought it was polite not to pry into things the other person didn't want to talk about, so I didn't ask, but that turned out to be a mistake."
Kim Juha continued, "After giving birth and moving, I was unpacking and found something in my mother-in-law's closet. There were two low boxes, and inside were dozens of documents." She went on, "Other than the marriage certificate my ex-husband had shown me, there were two more documents underneath. One was a certificate proving he had married me while still divorced in the United States, and the other was a forged document created to produce the marriage certificate he showed me," she revealed, shocking viewers.
Kim Juha added, "There was yet another document underneath, stating that he had divorced just a month before marrying me. That means he was still married to someone else when we were dating." She continued, "When he found out I knew about the fake documents, if he had said, 'I'm sorry, I did it because I loved you so much,' I might have wavered. But instead, he said, 'Are you upset? Then just leave.' That was such a shock. My eldest child was not even a year old at the time," she said, tearing up. She also shared, "Even before the marriage, two or three senior colleagues told me, 'Your ex-husband seems to have a past.' My ex-husband tore his clothes and cried, saying he was being wronged. I remember it so vividly because I felt so sorry for him. It was shocking to learn that someone who got so angry was lying."

He Got a House for His Mistress and Even Took His Son There
Kim Juha also revealed that her ex-husband committed adultery. When she received payment notifications from hair salons and nail shops on her phone, she suspected credit card fraud, but her ex-husband remained unfazed. It turned out that he had gotten a house for his mistress right across from their home and even took his son there.
Kim Juha said, "Whenever my husband had nothing to say, he would resort to violence. My eardrum was ruptured, and I can't hear well in my left ear," she revealed. "I was hit about twice, and once I fell and suffered a traumatic brain hemorrhage. I collapsed an hour before the news broadcast and went to the hospital, where the doctor asked me, 'Should I report this for you?' There were other horrific assaults as well. My ex-husband beat me severely just because I didn't wear clothes he had bought for me, saying, 'Are you looking down on me?' I ended up in the emergency room. Oh Eunyoung recalled, 'I remember the situation precisely because I spoke with the ER doctor at the time. She was in a state of severe strangulation.'"
Kim Juha continued, "I could endure the violence against me, but when he hit our son, I couldn't take it. He once grabbed our son's collar and slapped him repeatedly just because the child came out late while playing hide-and-seek. That happened twice." There were also financial issues. She said, "During our marriage, my entire salary was used for living expenses, and my husband spent all of his own money. When we tried to divide our assets during the divorce, it turned out my husband's total assets amounted to only 320,000 won." To make matters worse, her ex-husband even tried to seize Kim Juha's rental deposit.
Kim Juha married in 2004 and had a son and a daughter, but due to her ex-husband's infidelity and violence, she experienced marital discord and filed for divorce in 2013. After a legal battle that lasted two years and seven months, the divorce was finalized in 2016, and the Supreme Court ruled that Kim Juha must divide 1,021,000,000 won in assets with her ex-husband. During this process, her ex-husband was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, on charges of assault.
