Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 21st that the Namyangju Volunteer Center, a non-profit corporation, held the "2025 Christmas Miracle, Cake Carries Love" sharing event at the center's 4th-floor auditorium on the 20th.

This event was organized so that marginalized neighbors could enjoy a warm and happy Christmas at the end of the year, with volunteers making and delivering cakes themselves. The volunteers delivered homemade cakes and "Warmth Sharing Kits" containing winter necessities to about 160 single-parent and large families in the area, as well as to approximately 20 children living in group homes.
The "Warmth Sharing Kits" prepared for the event were made possible through the voluntary participation of the local community. Local volunteer groups and individual volunteers prepared items such as instant noodles, snacks, sleep socks, blankets, and hot packs-essentials for winter daily life-and participated in every step from packaging to delivery, adding a personal touch to the process.
In particular, this sharing event was made even more meaningful by including scarves hand-knitted by volunteers since November, delivering warmth both physically and emotionally. Additionally, the volunteers who participated in making the cakes also personally delivered the gifts by visiting each home, deepening the spirit of sharing.
Mayor Joo Kwangdeok, who attended the event, said, "Since 2010, the Volunteer Center has become little Santas to share the excitement of Christmas with our neighbors and spread warmth. I sincerely thank all the volunteers who have consistently practiced service and sharing every year."
Meanwhile, the center continues to promote the "Warmth Sharing" campaign to support neighbors in need during the year-end and New Year season, and is helping the community have a warm winter through various sharing activities that provide essential winter supplies and emotional care in collaboration with the local community.
