The International Exchange Office of Honam University announced on the 21st that it had held a briefing session on study abroad and exchange programs, as well as the "Learning Exchange Sharing Meeting."
The sharing meeting, held on the 18th at the multi-purpose lecture hall of the library at Shandong Vocational College of Economics and Business in China, was attended by more than 160 students majoring in various fields such as accounting, international trade, and marketing.
The briefing session began with a promotional video about Honam University and focused on the university's educational philosophy, international competencies, curriculum management, scholarship and support systems, and career paths after graduation. The session provided detailed guidance on practical matters that students were curious about, such as degree (academic background) certification procedures and exchange/transfer processes, which was met with an enthusiastic response. Faculty members and university officials from Honam University also increased satisfaction by providing thorough answers to students' questions through an on-site Q&A session.
In addition, a student representative who studied at Honam University as an exchange student this semester shared first-hand "learning and living experiences in Korea," focusing on the adaptation process, class methods, campus life, and academic achievements, which drew significant attention from the attendees.
On the 19th, the Joint Sino-Foreign College Program Management Committee held a meeting to discuss this year's operational status, next year's curriculum allocation, faculty dispatch, and other key agenda items.
Participants included key officials from Honam University's School of Business (headed by Yang Dongmin), such as Professor Jin Chunhua (Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Team, Human Resource Management), Professor Gyeong Seongrim (Introduction to ERP), Professor Yang Jiwi (Financial Management), Professor Jin Seong (Management Science), and Professor Jeon Seongjun (Principles of Business Administration), who are dispatched to teach on-site. From Shandong Vocational College of Economics and Business, attendees included Song Liyong, Head of the Department of Big Data Accounting, Zhang Jianfeng, Deputy Head of Department, Li Jun, Director of the International Cooperation Office, and Sun Wei, Section Chief.
Since 2020, Honam University and Shandong Vocational College of Economics and Business have continued educational cooperation based on a joint Sino-foreign program, working to nurture globally competent talent through stable operations.
Son Wani, Director of the International Exchange Office, stated, "Through this briefing session and the sharing of exchange student experiences, students were able to gain a more realistic understanding of Honam University's educational environment and career paths," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our role as a leading university in global education through excellent program management and close cooperation."
