During the meeting, participants reviewed the achievements of social economy policies implemented in 2025, shared plans for projects to be pursued in 2026, and gathered various opinions to further promote the social economy.

In the area of village enterprise development, one preliminary village enterprise and one new village enterprise were selected. Gaksan Eumstay Cooperative and Masil Co., Ltd. were named as the preliminary and new village enterprises, respectively, demonstrating the potential for expanding the base of local social economy organizations.

In addition, the meeting discussed several topics, including the policy shift from the traditional social economy to the social solidarity economy, trends in the expansion of central government organizations and budgets, and the possibility of linking projects between large corporations and local social economy enterprises. The effective use of social economy hub spaces, examples of cooperatives in care and nursing services, and the need for pilot projects were also addressed as key agenda items.

Deputy Mayor Jung Sunghyun stated, "We will actively incorporate the various opinions presented at the meeting into future social economy policies," adding, "At the administrative level, we will continue to support the creation of an environment in which the social economy can grow stably and become a pillar of Gumi's economy."

Meanwhile, Gumi City plans to continue implementing education, consulting, and promotion and exhibition projects through the 'Social Economy Gumi Coexistence Project' in 2026, and will also launch a research project to establish a five-year basic plan for fostering the social economy.
