People Power Party Gumi City (Eul) Member Training Concludes Successfully

The People Power Party Members' Council for Gumi City (Eul), led by Assemblyman Kang Myunggu, successfully held the 'People Power Party Gumi City (Eul) Member Training' at 2:00 p.m. on December 20, 2025, in the main conference hall on the third floor of GUMICO in Sandong-eup, Gumi City, with approximately 2,000 party members in attendance.

This event was organized to reaffirm the party's core values and responsibility-centered politics focused on the people's livelihood amid extreme confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties and national policy confusion, as well as to strengthen the unity of the local organization.

The event was attended in person by Song Eon-seok, Floor Leader; Shin Dongwook, Senior Supreme Council Member; Kim Jaewon, Supreme Council Member; as well as National Assembly members Chu Kyungho, Lim Ija, and Lee Manhee, and former Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Choi Kyunghwan. In addition, Party Leader Jang Donghyuk, Secretary General Chung Heeyong, Supreme Council Member Kim Minsu, and National Assembly members Sung Iljong, Na Kyungwon, Yoon Sanghyun, Kwon Youngse, Kim Seongyo, Cho Jeonghun, Koo Jageun, along with Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of North Gyeongsang Province, sent video messages and congratulatory remarks to encourage the activities of the Gumi City (Eul) Members' Council.

During the event, the need for party unity and cohesion, centered on Party Leader Jang Donghyuk, was repeatedly emphasized. Song Eon-seok, Floor Leader, along with National Assembly members Chu Kyungho, Lim Ija, and Lee Manhee, stated in their congratulatory remarks, "Assemblyman Kang Myunggu is leading the charge for the reconstruction of the Republic of Korea," and added, "The party must unite around Party Leader Jang Donghyuk, and Gumi must come together around Assemblyman Kang Myunggu."

Shin Dongwook, Senior Supreme Council Member, delivered a special lecture titled "Making the Heart of Conservatism Even Hotter," stating, "Whenever conservatism lost its strength, the economy, security, and common sense were all shaken." He emphasized, "Now, we need an 'awakened conservatism' that takes action and takes responsibility." He also proposed, "Let us build a new conservative alliance in Gumi that bridges generations and social classes."

Assemblyman Kang Myunggu said, "It is thanks to the party members who worried about and supported the party that we were able to unite and persevere," and added, "Today is not just a party member training event, but the starting point for changing public sentiment."

He continued, "I will ensure that the time you have devoted will not be in vain by reorganizing and uniting the organization," and added, "The only thing I fear is the people, and the only thing I trust is also the people. With this mindset, I, Kang Myunggu, and the Gumi City (Eul) Party Council will act immediately, without fail, until we succeed."

Meanwhile, the People Power Party Gumi City (Eul) Members' Council plans to use this training as a starting point to systematize quarterly regular member trainings, town hall meetings in towns, townships, and neighborhoods, and capacity-building programs for youth and women's organizations. Through these efforts, the council expressed its determination to become a party that is with citizens not only during election periods but also in everyday life, and announced its plan to actively address local issues and pursue development tasks through close cooperation with the central party and the North Gyeongsang Provincial Party.
