Welfare Remains Steadfast on Ulleung Island... Ulleung County Holds Disability Welfare Committee Meeting

Ulleung County in North Gyeongsang Province has convened a policy table to identify gaps in welfare services for people with disabilities.

On December 19, Ulleung County held a meeting of the Ulleung County Disability Welfare Committee in the county office's second conference room.

This committee meeting discussed a total of two agenda items: the "2026 Disability Welfare Project Implementation Plan" and the "2026 Ulleung County Disability Welfare Project (New) Implementation Plan." The aim was to ensure the effective execution of welfare projects for people with disabilities and to promote their independence and rights.

Members of the Ulleung County Disability Welfare Committee who attended the meeting commented, "Welfare projects that reflect the local circumstances can contribute to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities."

County Governor Nam Han-gwon stated, "Based on the suggestions proposed through the Disability Welfare Committee, we will do our utmost to provide practical support for the protection of rights and welfare enhancement for people with disabilities, so that Ulleung Island can become a happy place where everyone can grow together."
