Simultaneous Wins of 'Institution Award' in Both SME and Inclusive Finance Support Categories
BNK Kyongnam Bank achieved a double victory by winning the 'Institution Award' in both the SME Support and Inclusive Finance Support categories for small and medium-sized group banks at the '2025 Inclusive and Mutual Growth Finance Awards'.
The Financial Supervisory Service holds the Inclusive and Mutual Growth Finance Awards annually to recognize financial companies and individuals who have made significant contributions to inclusive and mutual growth finance over the past year.
BNK Kyongnam Bank received high scores in the evaluation criteria for both SME support and inclusive finance support categories, and notably achieved the distinction of winning the Institution Award in the SME support category for three consecutive years.
To provide liquidity to local SMEs and small business owners, BNK Kyongnam Bank has sequentially implemented 'special loan programs' and has entered into financial business agreements with external organizations such as Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and Korea Technology Finance Corporation to offer financial support.
Additionally, the bank expanded the supply of the government policy product 'Saehimang Holssi Loan' to vulnerable groups in the region, and pursued a two-track strategy by swiftly providing emergency liquidity at low interest rates to self-employed individuals and small business owners facing management difficulties.
Furthermore, the bank has strengthened non-financial support through the operation of the 'Hope Dream Center for Small Business Owners' and expanded financial support for small business owners in cooperation with the regional credit guarantee foundation.
At the 2025 Inclusive and Mutual Growth Finance Awards ceremony held on December 19, Lee Kwangjun, Executive Director of the Corporate Customer Group, stated, "Our efforts to actively practice inclusive and mutual growth finance for local residents and SMEs have now been recognized externally. BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to do its utmost as a reliable partner in the regional economy to support the growth of SMEs and ensure financial stability for local residents."
Meanwhile, in August, BNK Kyongnam Bank received the highest 'Excellent' rating for the sixth consecutive year in the '2025 Financial Company Regional Reinvestment Evaluation' for the Gyeongnam and Ulsan regions.
Since the evaluation began in 2020, BNK Kyongnam Bank has been the only financial institution to receive the highest rating in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan regions for six consecutive years, maintaining its unrivaled performance.
