Samsung Electronics is expanding its HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) professional training infrastructure, focusing on Central and South America, to enhance service quality and strengthen brand trust.
According to the industry on December 21, Samsung Electronics recently opened the "Samsung HVAC Professional Training Center" in Chiclayo, northern Peru, to train HVAC engineers and installation technicians. This is the first time a specialized HVAC training center has been established in Peru.
The training center offers both theoretical and practical education, focusing on the latest cooling solutions and smart features. The curriculum includes Samsung's latest HVAC technologies and B2B solutions, such as the "DVM S2" system equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), Wind-Free technology, and commercial products using R32 refrigerant.
The Central and South American region is known for its diverse climate conditions and architectural environments, making air conditioner installation and maintenance particularly challenging from a technical perspective.
To strengthen its service competitiveness, Samsung Electronics currently operates 21 HVAC professional training centers across Central and South America, including Peru, producing approximately 30,000 engineers and installation technicians annually.
Samsung is also pursuing locally tailored marketing initiatives. In November, the company released a reality show called "Liga Climatiza," which selects the best air conditioner installation technician in Brazil, through a local podcast.
Installation technicians from 16 cities in Brazil participated in the competition, undergoing preliminary and final rounds where their installation safety, piping design skills, energy efficiency optimization, and customer communication abilities were evaluated.
This year, Samsung Electronics has further expanded its global service capabilities by opening additional HVAC professional training centers not only in Central and South America, but also in Southeast Asia-including Thailand and Vietnam-and in Europe, such as Spain.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics will showcase a variety of HVAC products at CES 2026, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA, in January next year. The company plans to unveil new air conditioner models equipped with AI-based features.
