Sampyo Resource Development Selected as "Best Mine for Safety Management in 2025"

Recognized for Outstanding Commitment to Safety Preservation Activities

On December 19, Sampyo Resource Development announced that it has been officially selected as the "Best Mine for Safety Management in 2025," an award organized by the Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation (KOMIR).

Sampyo Resource Development, a subsidiary of Sampyo Cement and a supplier of limestone, the main raw material for cement, received this honor in recognition of its efforts in safety preservation activities and the implementation of environmental policies. The Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation selects outstanding mines each year to improve mine safety standards and encourage voluntary safety management.


Sampyo Resource Development achieved the highest score in a comprehensive evaluation of over 305 mines nationwide. The company was recognized for its exceptional achievements across all areas of mine safety management, including maintaining a long-term record of zero accidents, establishing and operating an advanced safety management system, and promoting a safety culture to raise safety awareness among all executives and employees.
