Dongmyung University awarded certificates to 23 outstanding students for their social service activities.
On December 19, the Dongmyung Social Service Group at Dongmyung University held a certificate awarding ceremony at the Student Welfare Center for a total of 23 students who completed more than 100 hours of volunteer work last year. Yoon Kyungwon, a student from the Department of Social Welfare and the top volunteer at Dongmyung University, dedicated a total of 205 hours and 30 minutes to volunteering for the community from December of last year to November of this year.

The GOLD award was given to two students, including Yoon Kyungwon from the Department of Social Welfare. The SILVER award was given to seven students, including Park Jaeyoon from the Department of Nursing, who volunteered 163 hours. The BRONZE award was given to 14 students, including Kim Hongjin from the Department of Social Welfare, who volunteered 132 hours.
Based on the number of hours volunteered, those with 200 hours or more receive GOLD, those with 150 hours or more receive SILVER, and those with 100 hours or more receive BRONZE.
The Dongmyung Social Service Group has been encouraging its members who work diligently despite their busy academic schedules. The group holds the certificate awarding ceremony every year to foster pride among the volunteers.
In recognition of its continuous and active volunteer work, the Dongmyung Social Service Group received the Chairman’s Award from the Dong-gu District Council of Busan at the Busan Dong-gu Volunteer Day ceremony held on December 5.
