Mungyeong-eup Social Security Council Delivers Christmas Gifts to Children
The Mungyeong-eup Community Social Security Council visited local elementary schools ahead of Christmas to create warm memories for children.
On December 18, the Mungyeong-eup Community Social Security Council visited Dangpo Elementary School, Mungyeong Elementary School, and Yongheung Elementary School to hold the "Juhul Santa Claus Comes to Our School" event, delivering Christmas gift packages to 173 students.
This event was organized to deliver a message of joy and hope to children during the year-end season and to encourage the community to support the healthy growth of local children together. Council members dressed as Santa Claus made surprise visits to the schools, greeted the children, and handed out gifts, filling the schoolyards with bright smiles and applause.
Ji Seungyong, the private sector chairperson, said, "I hope Santa's visit becomes a happy memory that stays with the children for a long time," adding, "We will continue to provide ongoing interest and support so that children can grow up healthy and upright."
Kim Jaeseon, the public sector chairperson, also commented, "It is very meaningful to be able to bring a little joy and warmth to the children for Christmas," and added, "We will strengthen our efforts in community care and welfare support so that children can nurture their dreams in a safe and happy environment through cooperation between the public and private sectors."
The Mungyeong-eup Community Social Security Council plans to continue expanding on-site welfare activities for children and vulnerable groups, and to spread the values of sharing and solidarity throughout the community.
