"From Traditional Finance to Modern Inclusive Finance"... Shinhan Bank Hosts Special Exhibition at Korea Financial History Museum

This exhibition will be held in the special exhibition hall on the fourth floor of the Korea Financial History Museum. It aims to shed light on the role of finance throughout history and social change, introducing how finance has gone beyond a simple means of asset management to help form communities and connect people.

The exhibition is organized into three sessions: "Rely," "Overcome," and "Advance." It presents a continuous narrative of social growth and cohesion, from the financial activities of traditional community organizations such as Gye, Hyangyak, and Dure, to cases of overcoming social crises through participatory finance, and examples of inclusive finance and virtuous cycles of co-prosperity promoted by modern financial institutions.

In particular, this exhibition features an experiential space for children, designed so that even those encountering finance for the first time can easily understand the artifacts and related explanations. Through this, the exhibition is expected to provide both educational value and enjoyable experiences for family visitors.

The Korea Financial History Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and this exhibition is free for all visitors. The exhibition will run until December 31, 2026.

A representative from the Korea Financial History Museum said, "This exhibition captures the process by which finance has connected people and led the growth and recovery of communities," adding, "We hope it will provide an opportunity for visitors to naturally understand the social value of finance."

Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank established the Korea Financial History Museum in 1997 as the nation's first finance-specialized museum. The museum currently holds and researches approximately 6,600 finance-related artifacts.
