'Public Institution Digital Cooperation Council' Launched for AI Technology Adoption... 13 Organizations Including Korea Student Aid Foundation and Korea Mint Participate

The Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byungil) launched the "Public Institution Digital Cooperation Council" on December 18 at the Korea Fiscal Information Service, together with 12 other public institutions. The council aims to actively promote cooperation in the adoption of new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), strengthening information security in the public sector, and improving IT information services.


The participating public institutions are the Korea Food Safety Information Service, Korea Education and Research Information Service, Korea Culture Information Service Agency, Korea Health Information Service, Korea Social Security Information Service, Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, National Research Foundation of Korea, Korea Origin Information Agency, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Student Aid Foundation, Korea Fiscal Information Service, Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation, and Korea Statistics Information Service, making a total of 13 organizations.

The Public Institution Digital Cooperation Council was established with the shared commitment of the heads of 13 organizations to proactively respond to the evolving digital environment, enabling citizens to use public services more conveniently and securely.


Through the launch of this council, the 13 institutions plan to operate specialized cooperation divisions in areas such as AI, information security, blockchain, and data. They will work together on technology collaboration, dissemination of achievements, and workforce development.


Based on the data accumulated in the fields of student financial aid and student support, the Korea Student Aid Foundation plans to identify AI-based public services and innovative work models, and actively participate in spreading the outcomes of public AI utilization through this agreement.


Bae Byungil, Chairman of the Korea Student Aid Foundation, stated, "This agreement marks a meaningful starting point for public institutions to collaborate and connect AI technology to tangible improvements in public services," adding, "The Korea Student Aid Foundation will strive to establish itself as a leading institution for student growth support platforms utilizing AI."
