Assessment Includes Operation of "Public Security Customer Satisfaction Day" Group KakaoTalk Chatroom
The Goheung Police Station in South Jeolla Province announced that it ranked first among 259 police stations nationwide, achieving the highest score ever recorded in the "2025 Public Security Customer Satisfaction Survey" organized by the National Police Agency.
The public security customer satisfaction score is based on a survey of residents who have directly experienced police services, such as 112 emergency dispatches, traffic-related matters, and lost property cases. Goheung Police Station scored 98.9 points, significantly surpassing the national city and provincial average of 93.6 points, and claimed the top spot nationwide.
Goheung Police attributes this achievement primarily to its operation of a group KakaoTalk chatroom called "Public Security Customer Satisfaction Day." Every Thursday, department heads and team leaders participated in the group chat to share the weekly satisfaction scores, discuss areas needing improvement, and provide feedback to devise enhancement measures. These efforts contributed to delivering even better public security services.
In particular, Goheung Police Station achieved first place in the 112 emergency response category within the South Jeolla Provincial Police Agency, thanks to rapid dispatches and effective on-site responses. This accomplishment demonstrated improved perceived safety among residents and the station's strong capabilities in handling 112 emergency calls.
Gong Jeongwon, Chief of Goheung Police Station, stated, "This nationwide first-place result is the outcome of each resident's trust and the responsible response of our officers on the ground. We will continue to provide even more attentive and friendly public security services so that county residents can feel safe in their daily lives."
