Launching Online and Offline Campaigns to Spread a Culture of Giving
On December 18, Geumsan County held an inauguration ceremony for the "Hometown Love Supporters," organized by the Geumsan Residents Association in Seoul (President Kim Okja), at the Air Force Hotel in Seoul. The event aimed to ensure the successful establishment and active promotion of the Hometown Love Donation program.
Approximately 150 members of the residents association attended the ceremony, which was made even more meaningful by the announcement that Geumsan County’s Hometown Love donations for 2025 had surpassed 800 million won.
The Hometown Love Supporters will serve as honorary ambassadors for Geumsan, promoting the Hometown Love Donation program, discovering and proposing new thank-you gifts, and conducting both online and offline campaigns to spread a culture of giving.
The county plans to use the donations collected through the Hometown Love program to fund practical projects that improve the quality of life for residents, such as supporting youth and enhancing welfare for vulnerable groups.
Geumsan County Governor Park Beomin said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the Geumsan Residents Association in Seoul, who are working hard out of love for Geumsan and their hometown. I hope that the Supporters launched today will become a driving force for a culture of giving that spreads the charm of Geumsan far and wide."
He added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that these valuable donations become a beacon of hope for Geumsan’s future by thoroughly implementing the fund’s projects."
