This event was organized to share the achievements of educational innovation, which Dongducheon City has pursued together with local universities, schools, and the Office of Education since being designated as a pilot area for the Education Development Special Zone in February 2024, and to promote the continued advancement of local education.
The event featured a variety of programs, including the Education Development Special Zone Policy Forum, a special lecture by Mimiminu, and a talk show and autograph session with illustrator Hongbichira. The combination of education and the arts allowed all generations, from youth to adults, to participate together, receiving an enthusiastic response from attendees.
In addition, the first-floor lobby of the Lifelong Learning Center hosted interactive event spaces such as making personalized mugs with caricatures, demonstrations of autonomous robots, and a student art exhibition. The display of works created by students over the past two years and a music video documenting their creative process attracted significant interest from schools, students, and parents.
Notably, during the awards ceremony for the 1st Education Development Special Zone SW·AI Competition, a humanoid robot personally presented the certificates, vividly showcasing the future of society shaped by collaboration between robotics technology and humans, and drawing the attention of all participants.
An official from the Dongducheon City Future Education Promotion Agency stated, "This 'Dream Fulfillment Concert' was a meaningful occasion to share the direction and future vision for the development of local education with citizens," adding, "We will continue to create a sustainable educational environment and actively pursue various policies and support measures to discover and nurture the creativity and potential of our students."
