According to the county on December 19, these inspections are being carried out in accordance with the Act on the Installation and Use of Sports Facilities. The focus is on checking the safety management status of facilities, particularly in preparation for fire risks and heavy snowfall during the winter season.

On-site inspections will be conducted for specific business types such as artificial climbing walls, swimming pools, and sledding facilities. For smaller facilities like billiard halls and golf practice ranges, operators are required to conduct self-inspections and then enter the results into the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Sports Facility Information Management System.

The main inspection items include: ▲ damage or cracks inside and outside buildings ▲ safety status of facilities surrounding the buildings ▲ proper functioning of fire alarm and extinguishing systems ▲ compliance with laws and regulations related to sports facilities.

If minor issues are found during the inspections, immediate corrective action and repairs will be taken on-site. For more serious issues, usage will be restricted and a detailed inspection will be conducted by external experts.

Lee Maengwoo, Director of the Facility Management Office, stated, "Winter is a season with a higher risk of safety accidents due to increased use of heating equipment and the possibility of facility freezing. We will thoroughly inspect private sports facilities, which are directly linked to the health of our residents, to eliminate safety blind spots and create an environment where people can exercise with peace of mind."
