This camp was organized to provide students with an intensive opportunity to experience Russian, a second foreign language that is not easily accessible in daily life. The program focused on enabling students to naturally acquire basic conversational skills for real-life situations through customized activities tailored to the learners' proficiency levels.
The main activities included small-group learning sessions with native-speaking teachers. Through close interactions with native speakers, students were able to increase their exposure to the foreign language and lower psychological barriers to Russian by participating in conversation-centered activities rather than simple memorization.
In particular, the camp aimed not only at language acquisition but also at fostering a sense of global citizenship.
Director Byun Miyoung stated, "This camp was designed to allow students to experience Russian firsthand through a variety of activities centered on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I hope it has been a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of a foreign language through active communication with native teachers and to experience a broader world."
