NH Nonghyup Bank announced on December 19 that it has launched the "NH Facial Recognition Service," which utilizes the latest facial authentication technology.
The NH Facial Recognition Service verifies a user's identity by comparing facial data captured in real time with the facial information registered in advance by the customer. The facial images are not stored in their original form; instead, facial features are extracted, converted, and then divided and encrypted before being stored in a distributed manner.
This service can be registered through the NH All One Bank app. It can be used for non-face-to-face financial transactions that require identity verification, such as opening deposit and withdrawal accounts or changing account passwords. Through this service, customers can conduct financial transactions with a simpler and more secure authentication process.
An official from Nonghyup Bank stated, "Through the enhanced security of the NH Facial Recognition Service, we will provide customers with a safe and convenient digital authentication environment."
