Intellivix, a company specializing in video analysis artificial intelligence (AI), received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award at the "2025 Asia AI Awards" ceremony held at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul on December 18.
Intellivix is an AI technology-specialized small and medium-sized enterprise, with 70% of its 158 employees being AI engineers. After focusing on AI research and development (R&D) for 25 years, the company has achieved the milestone of independently developing all of its core technologies domestically. At this awards ceremony, Intellivix was recognized for its development and commercialization of the generative AI monitoring platform "Gen AMS (GEN AI Monitoring System)," which applies innovative technology.
Gen AMS is an "integrated monitoring AI agent" that not only detects and alerts in real time to various risk factors in urban and industrial sites-such as fires, falls, and traffic accidents-but also automatically generates summary reports on the situations. The system is evaluated as having overcome the limitations of traditional visual monitoring by enabling AI to automatically handle the entire process from detection and alerting to summarizing results.
Intellivix has supplied its AI monitoring solutions to 68.5% of local governments nationwide and applied them across various industrial sites, contributing to fire and explosion prevention and enhancing safety.
The company's visual-language model (VLM) technology, which combines visual information with language models, was selected for the "100 Defense Innovation Companies" program led by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, demonstrating its prominence in the defense sector. Conventional cameras struggle to secure visibility in adverse weather conditions such as fog, sea mist, snow, and rain, while infrared (IR) equipment is specialized for nighttime use and leaves surveillance gaps during inclement weather.
Intellivix's technology addresses this issue by emitting light in pulses, filtering out scattered light, and accepting only returning signals. This enables the acquisition of clear images even in severe weather, making all-weather surveillance possible for GOP barbed-wire fences and coastal outposts.
Additionally, Intellivix has led the establishment of the Seoul Jung-Nambu AI Business Cooperative to promote technological cooperation and the spread of the AI industry ecosystem among small and medium-sized enterprises, and has strengthened the regional AI industry ecosystem by establishing a branch in South Gyeongsang Province.
