On December 19, Ipjjalhetnim released a statement through her YouTube channel, saying, "I sincerely apologize for causing concern to those who have cherished and supported me," and added, "I will take this time to reflect on the controversies and suspicions that have been raised, and if there are any wrongdoings, I will acknowledge them without making excuses or avoiding responsibility."

Regarding her relationship with Ms. A, the so-called 'Injection Auntie' who is at the center of the controversy, she explained, "I first met her at a hospital in Gangnam District through an acquaintance, so I had no reason to doubt her and believed she was a real doctor when I received treatment." She continued, "There were times when Ms. A came to my house on days when I was busy, but I have never been to her house."

Ipjjalhetnim stated, "It was a serious mistake on my part not to pay closer attention to various circumstances and not to act more cautiously," and added, "I sincerely apologize to my fans and everyone involved for any inconvenience or harm I may have caused unintentionally." She went on to say, "I have decided to step down from all ongoing programs and suspend all scheduled activities."

Previously, Dispatch reported that Ipjjalhetnim also appeared to have received diet pills or IV injections from Ms. A, who is suspected of illegal medical practices. However, Ipjjalhetnim denied this, saying, "I did receive swelling medication from the hospital where Ms. A worked, but the diet pills and IV injections are unrelated."

Meanwhile, broadcaster Narae Park and SHINee member Key (real name Kim Kibum) have also withdrawn from all scheduled appearances and ongoing programs after being embroiled in allegations of receiving illegal medical procedures from Ms. A. On December 16, Narae Park bowed her head in a YouTube video, saying, "I take seriously the concern and fatigue I have caused to many people," and revealed that she is proceeding with legal procedures to verify the facts. SHINee's Key also issued an apology through his agency after suspicions about his relationship with Ms. A were raised, stating, "I believed Ms. A was a doctor."
