Dong-Eui Science University Runs Park Golf Professional and Instructor Training Course

Targeting Adults Over 50
Fostering Sports Professionals and Expanding Social Participation

Dong-Eui Science University (President Kim Youngdo) announced on December 19 that it had successfully completed the "2025 Park Golf Culture University Park Golf Professional & Instructor Training Course," which was held from October 29 to December 4.

This course is part of the lifelong learning programs offered by the university's Lifelong Education Center. It was designed to help citizens of all ages easily access learning opportunities throughout their lives, support proactive living and healthy retirement planning in the era of longevity, and promote an active lifestyle. In particular, by encouraging physical vitality through park golf activities and cultivating professionals with official park golf qualifications, the program aimed to expand opportunities for social participation through sports.

The curriculum targeted adults with an average age of over 50, combining theoretical education on park golf with field-based practical training. During the course, participants visited nearby park golf courses twice to conduct real game operations and coaching practice, thereby enhancing their adaptability to on-site situations. Through this process, they gained comprehensive knowledge of park golf rules, techniques, game management, teaching methods, and safety management, thereby developing professional competence.

With high levels of participation and satisfaction, all trainees successfully acquired the fundamental skills required as park golf professionals and instructors. They are expected to actively contribute to sports for all and community activities in the future.

Kim Taekyung, Dean of the Lifelong Education Center at Dong-Eui Science University, stated, "We expect that the park golf professionals and instructors trained through this Park Golf Culture University will lead a healthy sports-for-all culture and revitalize the local community. We will continue to expand field-oriented lifelong education programs to meet the needs of the community and work toward building a healthy and prosperous society."
