Sharing Comprehensive Inspection Results of Second Half Safety and Health Activities
Advancing Prevention-Centered Safety Management

Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) announced on the 19th that it held the 8th Safety and Health Management Committee meeting, during which it reviewed the “2025 Second Half Safety and Health Activities Performance and Comprehensive Inspection Results” and assessed the overall status of safety and health management.

This committee was convened to comprehensively discuss the implementation of obligations to secure safety and health in accordance with Article 4 of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, focusing on the following: ▲ the performance of major safety and health activities and comprehensive inspection results for 2025, and ▲ key work plans for 2026.

The corporation has been implementing a systematic safety and health management plan with the goal of “achieving zero serious accidents through field-oriented safety management.” As a result, there were no serious accidents throughout this year, and the comprehensive inspection of safety and health activities confirmed that all areas subject to inspection were being properly carried out.

Committee members positively evaluated the introduction of the BMC-style Safety Awareness Index and the development of a standard model for risk assessment in collaboration with the Korea Land and Housing Safety Management Agency, highlighting the operation of a prevention-centered safety management system. In particular, they agreed that, since the implementation of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, the level of accidents and disasters has been managed at its lowest, indicating tangible results.

Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, “Through this Safety and Health Management Committee meeting, we were able to review the achievements of our safety and health activities so far and further specify the direction for future development. We will actively reflect the various opinions presented at the committee, strengthen our self-regulatory prevention system, and continue to advance field-oriented, thorough safety and health management.”

Although Busan Urban Corporation is not designated as a key institution for safety and health management based on Ministry of the Interior and Safety standards, it has proactively operated the Safety and Health Management Committee, which is composed of internal and external experts in labor and safety and health. Through these efforts, the corporation is recognized for leading the establishment of a safety-first management system and the adoption of an advanced safety culture.
