At approximately 3:20 p.m. on December 18, a crane collapsed at the site of the interchange (IC) connection improvement project at the southern end of Jamsil Bridge in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The fire authorities dispatched 42 personnel to rescue a 66-year-old male worker, but he is presumed to have already died.
