Pyeongchang 'Top Senior' Shares High School Success Strategies Pyeongchang Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Geumsook) is holding a special lecture and talk concert titled "Here It Is! This series of special lectures is open to all third-year students and parents, as well as interested students, from eight middle schools in the Pyeongchang area. With approximately 300 participants, including students and parents from first-year middle school to first-year high school, the event is being held amid high interest.

For this event, graduates from middle and high schools in the Pyeongchang area-currently enrolled or soon to be enrolled as the class of 2024 to 2026 at institutions such as Yonsei University-were invited as "top seniors." The aim is to provide practical admissions information and help students develop their academic skills by connecting them with mentors who are closest to their own experiences.

The first part, the "Special Lecture," covered concrete study methods, including strategies for connecting middle school and high school academics, personalized study know-how, and planning for the third-year winter break.

The second part, the "Talk Concert," featured a Q&A session where students and parents could ask unlimited questions on topics such as "How Not to Fail in College Admissions" and "Academic and Life Plans of Seniors," addressing a wide range of academic and daily life concerns.

One student who attended the special lecture at their middle school shared, "Having a senior from a famous university I always wanted to attend come in person and share realistic study methods made my previously vague image of high school life much more concrete."

Superintendent Kim Geumsuk stated, "This special lecture is especially meaningful because local seniors who have already experienced the major challenge of college entrance exams returned to their alma mater to share their vivid know-how. We will continue to support our students in developing the ability to design their own academic and career paths during transitional periods and to grow as local talent."
