This event was the second integrity education program conducted this year, designed to promote the practice of integrity among executives and employees in their daily work. In particular, the program went beyond simple lecture-style education by adopting an experiential format that encouraged voluntary participation from staff members.
The 'Integrity Golden Bell' was organized as a quiz-based participatory training, enabling executives and employees to learn about anti-corruption laws in an easy and engaging way. Instead of merely memorizing legal provisions, the program featured case-based questions that reflected real-life scenarios that could arise during work processes, thereby enhancing its effectiveness.
The main topics covered included core laws that public officials must be familiar with, such as the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Public Officials Ethics Act, and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act. The program also addressed criteria for making decisions in situations that are often confusing during work tasks. Through this approach, employees were able to naturally acquire integrity standards that can be applied in the field.
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "Integrity is not just a principle, but a standard for decision-making that must be applied at every moment in the workplace." He added, "I hope this Integrity Golden Bell event will provide an opportunity for our executives and employees to reflect together on various cases and to assess for themselves what the right choices are."
Busan Urban Corporation plans to continue operating a variety of integrity programs that encourage voluntary participation from executives and employees, striving to ensure that a culture of integrity is naturally established throughout the organization.
