Siheung Selected as Outstanding Local Government in Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Program... Secures 150 Million Won in National Funding

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety evaluated 243 local governments nationwide based on criteria related to the government's livelihood recovery consumption coupons, including: ▲ distribution performance ▲ usage and expansion of usage locations ▲ improvement of application and distribution convenience ▲ promotional achievements ▲ best practices, among others.

At the beginning of the project, the city formed a dedicated task force to establish a prompt and stable distribution system. By conducting both online and offline promotional activities, Siheung achieved high distribution and usage rates in both the first and second rounds of the consumption coupon program.

In connection with the distribution of consumption coupons, the city also promoted the "Heung Sale" domestic demand stimulation project and organized various events such as "Sirupangpang Day," the "Neighborhood Commercial District Consumption Campaign," and the "Local Food Direct Store Special Discount Event." These efforts to boost consumption and revitalize the local economy were highly rated.

Building on this achievement, the city plans to strengthen support policies for small business owners and the self-employed, and to continue tailored economic revitalization projects linked to local commercial districts, thereby accelerating the recovery of the local economy.

Siheung Mayor Lim Byeongtaek stated, "We will continue to steadily and swiftly implement livelihood-centered policies so that citizens and small business owners can feel tangible changes in their daily lives."
