KB Kookmin Bank Opens 'KB Hope Finance Center' to Support Vulnerable Groups

KB Kookmin Bank announced on December 18 that it has opened the 'KB Hope Finance Center' in Seoul and Incheon to provide debt adjustment and credit counseling services for vulnerable groups.

The KB Hope Finance Center was established by utilizing unused space at the 2nd floor of KB Kookmin Bank's Sangdo-dong branch in Seoul and the 3rd floor of the Yeonsu Jungang branch in Incheon. The bank has opened two locations initially, with plans to expand nationwide in the first half of next year.

The main services include: ▲ Consulting on credit issues through analysis of credit scores and loan status ▲ Guidance on debt relief programs such as the bank's own debt adjustment, Credit Counseling & Recovery Service, Saechulbal Fund, personal rehabilitation, and bankruptcy systems ▲ Information on policy financial products and support for converting high-interest loans, as well as other financial support systems for low-income individuals.

Additionally, since November, KB Kookmin Bank has been operating the 'Mind Care Counseling Service' in collaboration with the Korea EAP Association. Funded by donations from KB Kookmin Bank, this service provides professional psychological counseling to customers receiving debt adjustment counseling from the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service.

The opening of the KB Hope Finance Center is part of the 'inclusive finance' strategy emphasized by Yang Jonghee, Chairman of KB Financial Group. In his speech marking the group's 17th anniversary this year, Chairman Yang stated, "Finance must become a force that creates social value," and pledged to continue expanding inclusive finance for small business owners, young people, and vulnerable groups.
