Beat 1 in 24 Trillion Odds... Couple Wins $2 Million Lottery Again After 7 Years

Won 2 Billion Won Lottery Again After 2018
Praised Locally for Generosity and Staying Grounded
Odds of Winning the Lottery Twice: 1 in 24 Trillion

A British couple who have won the lottery twice is making headlines. Seven years ago, they won 1 million pounds (approximately 2 billion won), and recently, they won the same amount again, earning the nickname "the luckiest couple in Britain." On December 16 (local time), The Sun introduced Richard Davis (49) and his wife Faye Davis (43), who won another 1 million pounds through the UK lottery EuroMillions' "Millionaire Maker" on November 26.

The Davis couple previously won 1 million pounds in 2018 through the same lottery, drawing significant attention in their community. At that time, they did not hide their winnings, gifting cars to family and friends and donating a minibus to a local rugby team, earning praise for their generosity. They also purchased the home they had lived in for a long time to secure stable housing, used some of the winnings for their first overseas trip to Dubai, and covered their wedding expenses.

According to lottery experts, the odds of the same couple winning such a large prize twice are about 1 in 24 trillion-lower than the odds of being struck by lightning. Regarding their second win, Faye Davis commented, "People say lightning only strikes once, but I believed it could strike twice. I knew the odds were extremely low, but we have proven that if you believe, even things that seem impossible can happen." Richard Davis also expressed his astonishment, saying, "I can't explain it, but I had a feeling we would win again."

Despite their second major win, the couple revealed that they have no immediate plans to quit their jobs. Richard, who currently works as a delivery driver, intends to continue his delivery work seven days a week, and Faye, who is employed as a counselor, plans to work as usual throughout the holiday season, including Christmas.

Richard remarked, "People keep asking what we're going to do next, but honestly, I don't know yet. The first win was meaningful because we could help those around us, and this time, I want to take things slow and enjoy the moment." Faye added with a smile, "There will be a few more gifts under the tree this Christmas." The couple, who have four children, said they plan to keep buying lottery tickets and are hoping for another stroke of luck. However, they emphasized, "Family and everyday life are still more important than money."
