Taehwa River Opens to the Sky... Ulsan City Holds 'Taehwaro Skywalk' Completion Ceremony Taehwalu (Yonggeumso) Skywalk.

After the ceremony, the facility will undergo inspections and final preparations before officially opening to the public and tourists on December 24.

The completion ceremony will be attended by approximately 200 people, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Dukyum, Ulsan City Council Chairman Lee Seongryong, National Assemblyman Park Sungmin, and Jung-gu District Mayor Kim Younggil. The event will feature a celebratory performance, an opening declaration, a facade lighting ceremony, and a tour of the facility.

The "Taehwaro Skywalk" will serve as a key hub in the ecological, cultural, and tourism belt connecting Taehwagang National Garden, Taehwaro, and Taehwa Market.

Construction began in October last year and was completed in just one year and one month. The total project cost of 7.3 billion won was fully funded by the city.

With a width of 20 meters and a length of 35 meters, the facility is equipped with a variety of amenities, including fountains, landscape lighting, an exterior media facade, swings, and net-based experiential facilities, providing both relaxation and interactive experiences.

Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Taehwa River waterfront, and the diverse relaxation and experiential facilities are expected to attract significant popularity among both citizens and tourists.

In particular, the exterior media facade, themed around Ulsan’s nature and industry, is expected to become a new nighttime attraction as it blends with the Taehwa River’s nightscape.

Mayor Kim Dukyum stated, "The completion of the 'Taehwaro Skywalk' will enhance Ulsan’s urban brand value and contribute to revitalizing local businesses and the city center."
