According to Gyeonggi-do Corporation’s year-end financial results, the company posted a profit of 11 million won this year, marking its first surplus since 2020. While it had accumulated losses of 2.86 billion won over the past four years since 2021, this year the company improved its earnings by 780 million won compared to last year.

The public delivery app Baedal Teukgeup, the company’s flagship service, played the most significant role in turning a profit. Launched in December 2020, Baedal Teukgeup now operates in 31 cities and counties within the province. As of December 17, the app has achieved an annual transaction volume of 100 billion won, a cumulative transaction volume of 500 billion won, and a membership of 1.48 million users.

Since May this year, the company has also been successfully running an online mall providing universal support for menstrual products for adolescent girls as an in-house project. This initiative, aimed at promoting health rights for young women, allows for convenient online purchases of hygiene products through the Baedal Teukgeup platform. The service currently has 40,000 members and is on the verge of reaching a cumulative transaction volume of 5 billion won.

In addition, by operating the ‘Climate Action Opportunity Income’ platform, the company has contributed to carbon neutrality in Gyeonggi Province, with 1.57 million members and 33.8 billion won paid out in rewards. Through the ‘2025 SME Marketing’ support project, the company supported 388 small and medium-sized enterprises in the province-an increase from last year-and achieved a cumulative transaction volume of 46.6 billion won.

Lee Jaejun, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Corporation, stated, “This year, Gyeonggi-do Corporation achieved remarkable results in each of its core businesses, breaking out of the red for the first time in five years and driving healthy institutional growth. In particular, with the launch of our in-house online mall for menstrual products for adolescent girls, we plan to further enhance our financial independence next year.”
