The report includes the Democratic Party’s endorsement, stating, "Based on his expertise, candidate Kim is expected to play a key role in strengthening the public interest in the broadcasting and media sector and in revising various regulations and legal frameworks to effectively respond to the rapidly changing broadcasting and media environment."
The report also contains the People Power Party’s dissenting opinion, which states, "Due to concerns that he may not be able to maintain neutrality amid political controversies such as issues surrounding the governance structure of public broadcasters, he is not deemed suitable to serve as Chairperson of the Broadcasting, Media and Communications Committee."
