The basic security guard training program at Shinhan University is a mandatory course stipulated by the Security Services Act, which all new security guards must complete before being hired by a security company. The program consists of 24 hours of training, conducted over three days at eight hours per day, and participants must score at least 60 points in attitude assessments and exams to successfully complete the course.

Shinhan University was first designated as a training institution in 2021 and has provided systematic education for five years, making significant contributions to training security guards responsible for public safety in the northern Gyeonggi and northern Seoul regions. In particular, the university has recently focused on the welfare of its graduates by signing MOUs with the four major hospitals in Uijeongbu to provide medical and welfare benefits to graduates and their families.

Following this re-designation, Shinhan University plans to begin training sessions from mid-January, holding classes every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week, excluding public holidays.
