GyeongbukTP and Korea Freedom Federation Cheongdo County Branch Deliver 3,000 Briquettes to Vulnerable Groups

GyeongbukTP Delivers Briquettes Directly for Third Year
"Cheongdo United Through Sharing"... Ongoing Contributions

As the winter season sets in, a series of briquette sharing initiatives are taking place across Cheongdo County to help underprivileged neighbors get through the cold months.

Gyeongbuk Technopark (President Ha Inseong, GyeongbukTP), a regional hub institution, and the Cheongdo County Branch of the Korea Freedom Federation (Chairman Jo Inje), a social volunteer organization, have both carried out volunteer activities, delivering warmth and inspiration to the local community.

On December 16, about 20 executives and employees of GyeongbukTP visited four households vulnerable to heating in the Cheongdo County area and personally delivered 2,000 briquettes.

This activity, now in its third year, was organized to help alleviate the actual heating burden of neighbors who are struggling due to the recent increase in briquette prices and reduced support.

Ha Inseong, President of GyeongbukTP, stated, "I am grateful that we can practice warm sharing with neighbors who may be marginalized during the winter," and added, "As a regional hub institution, we will continue to pursue various social contribution activities to fulfill our social responsibility."

On December 17, the Cheongdo County Branch of the Korea Freedom Federation continued the relay of sharing in Geumcheon-myeon.

This volunteer effort included Kim Hasu, Mayor of Cheongdo County, Chairman Jo Inje, Seok Sangho, Chairman of the Geumcheon-myeon Committee, along with 15 members and staff of the Geumcheon-myeon Office.

They delivered 1,000 briquettes to two households in the area, including basic livelihood security recipients and elderly people living alone, putting love for neighbors into action.

Chairman Jo Inje said, "I would like to thank the members who joined in to help our marginalized neighbors during the cold winter," while Kim Hasu, Mayor of Cheongdo County, who visited the site, encouraged the volunteers by saying, "I hope the briquettes delivered today will become a warm spark that reminds us of the importance of love and sharing among neighbors."

Both organizations have consistently engaged in community-based volunteer activities beyond this briquette sharing event.

GyeongbukTP, under the vision of 'Valuable Management, Shared Giving,' has been involved in helping with farm work and blood donation campaigns, while the Cheongdo County Branch of the Korea Freedom Federation has taken the lead in enhancing local welfare through activities such as painting village walls and providing free meals at welfare centers for at-risk youth and people with disabilities.

This year-end relay of volunteer service is being recognized as more than just the delivery of goods; it has become an opportunity for the local community to check in on vulnerable groups and strengthen community spirit together.
