"Expectations for Restoring the Growth Ladder"
The Small Business Association (SBA) expressed its support for the policy direction of the 2026 Ministry of SMEs and Startups work report presented on the 17th.
In a statement released the same day, the SBA assessed that this year's consumption-boosting policies, including the 'Win-Win Payback' and 'Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event,' totaling 14 trillion won, played a practical role as a catalyst for small business sales recovery. The association also analyzed that measures to ease business burdens, such as incentives for small business owners who faithfully repay their loans, have had positive effects on the ground.
The SBA also expressed high expectations for the specific implementation plans to restore the "growth ladder," which is a key task for 2026.
The SBA stated, "The project to discover and nurture 10,000 local entrepreneurs will inject new vitality into the local small business ecosystem," and added, "The plan to create glocal commercial districts will help scale up small business markets and expand the sales base by attracting overseas tourists." Furthermore, the SBA evaluated that the AI-based crisis sign monitoring plan "will provide a foundation for three million small business owners with outstanding loans to proactively respond to management crises."
In particular, regarding the support for the "Management Stability Voucher" for 2.3 million micro-business owners, which was finalized after strong recommendations from the SBA during the budget review process, the association said, "This will be a directly tangible policy that alleviates the burden of fixed costs."
Finally, the SBA stated, "We hope that the 2026 work report of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will serve as a turning point for small business owners to make a fresh leap forward," adding, "The SBA will work closely with the ministry and do its utmost to achieve policy outcomes."
