The Korea National Arboretum and Garden Management Authority (KNAGMA) has swept various awards at official competitions and events organized by government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and associations this year, solidifying its status as the leading "K-Arboretum and Garden Global Hub Institution" representing South Korea.

On December 17, KNAGMA announced that it had recently received the Prime Minister's Commendation in the Human Resource Development category at the 51st National Quality Management Convention, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korean Standards Association.

At the management convention, KNAGMA was highly praised for its practical competency enhancement programs tailored to the institution's characteristics and its efforts to foster future talent.

Previously, KNAGMA had also distinguished itself in the field of ESG management. At the 20th Korea ESG Awards, hosted by the Korea Service Industry Promotion Agency, the Baekdudaegan National Arboretum received the Minister of Education Award, while the Sejong National Arboretum received the Minister of Environment Award.

Furthermore, KNAGMA was recognized for its excellence in environmental management by winning the Grand Prize in the Environment (E) category at the 3rd Korea ESG Awards, organized by the Korean ESG Society. KNAGMA also demonstrated strong public communication capabilities by winning the Excellence Award for innovative PR activities aimed at overcoming the climate and environmental crisis at the "2025 Climate and Environment Short-Form Video Contest."

Notably, the inclusion of the Baekdudaegan National Arboretum and the Sejong National Arboretum in the "2025-2026 Korea Tourism Top 100" list, further cementing their status as premier tourist destinations in South Korea, is considered one of KNAGMA's major achievements this year.

The Baekdudaegan National Arboretum also received the Minister's Award for its contributions to revitalizing the local economy at the "2025 Regional Extinction Response Merit Awards," organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, marking a double honor this year.

In addition, KNAGMA garnered a series of accolades this year, including the Grand Prize in the Innovation Management category at the "2025 National Empathy Campaign," the Silver Award at the "2025 Pinnacle Awards World Competition" (for the Sejong National Arboretum), and the Encouragement Award at the "Korea Local Government Public Character Festival."

Shim Sangtaek, Chairman of KNAGMA, stated, "KNAGMA will continue to do its utmost to become a leading platform institution for forest biological resources, fulfilling the social responsibilities of a public institution while fostering the growth of both nature and people."
