Distribution of Teacher's Guidebook and Implementation of Lesson Case Training
The Financial Supervisory Service has published a teacher's guidebook for the "Finance and Economic Life" course, which will be introduced as an elective subject in high schools starting next year.
On December 18, the Financial Supervisory Service announced that it had developed exemplary lesson plans utilizing various teaching and assessment methods, and compiled them into a teacher's guidebook. The guidebook contains model lesson cases aligned with 12 achievement standards across four units. For each lesson plan, it presents sample classes structured as two sessions (each session lasting 50 minutes), utilizing class flowcharts, various activity sheets, and supplementary materials. The Financial Supervisory Service explained that by providing activity sheets and supplementary materials-including QR codes-for each session, the guidebook enhances student engagement in the lessons.
The Financial Supervisory Service plans to distribute the teacher's guidebook to high schools nationwide so that schools can actively offer the "Finance and Economic Life" course and teachers can use the guidebook in their classes. Additionally, the guidebook will be used in teacher training sessions for the "Finance and Economic Life" course.
