The Wow Shop is a space designed to offer products at prices that will make customers say "Wow," with all items priced between 1,000 and 5,000 won. Notably, 64% of all products are priced at 2,000 won or less, and 86% are priced at 3,000 won or less. This strategy is intended to compete with the fixed-price household goods retailer Daiso by providing both shopping enjoyment and high cost-effectiveness.

Initially, Emart is introducing the Wow Shop as a pilot in its Wangsimni branch, covering 66.1 square meters (about 20 pyeong). By the end of the year, the shop will be sequentially rolled out at four stores in total, including the Eunpyeong branch (December 19), Jayang branch (December 24), and Suseong branch (December 31). After closely analyzing customer feedback, the company plans to expand the direction of product operations accordingly.

Key products include essential daily items such as: home furnishing goods like storage boxes, hangers, and bathroom slippers; kitchenware such as storage containers, cooking utensils, and cutting boards; fashion and sports items like travel pouches and sports gear; beauty products including mirrors, combs, and brushes; stationery such as erasers, clips, and balloons; and small digital appliances like USB hubs and charging cables.

Emart is also introducing 31 "Wow Pick" products, planned at the lowest prices in the industry. Non-slip hangers (set of 5), four types of daily convenience containers (colored), and goblet glasses are each priced at 1,000 won; six types of bathroom slippers, indoor slippers, and face towels are each 2,000 won; three types of transparent storage boxes and dish racks are each 3,000 won; and the bamboo wood cutting board is priced at 4,000 won.

All products sold at the Wow Shop are directly imported through Emart’s 100% overseas direct sourcing process. By minimizing intermediate distribution steps, unnecessary costs have been reduced, enabling the company to offer ultra-low prices, according to Emart.

In addition, Emart has ensured not only price competitiveness but also product quality stability, leveraging its direct import product quality management process accumulated over the past 20 years. For each item, legal certification procedures such as KC certification, food quarantine, children's product safety certification, and radio safety certification have been thoroughly implemented to enhance product safety and reliability.

Park Jaehyung, Head of Fashion and Living at Emart, stated, "We have developed household goods with 'surprisingly low prices' and 'truly cheap prices,' leveraging Emart’s unique product planning and quality management expertise. We will continue to expand our range of ultra-low-priced products that customers can trust and choose."
